The summer spike in cannabis career opportunities across Canada appears to be forming a sustained climb. The last four weeks have brought more new cannabis job listings to the boards than any previous month on record, marking August as the second record-setting month in a row. With an average of 142 new listings per week, August saw an 11% increase in weekly new-listings volume, compared to the 126 new listings per week in July.
Here’s the latest round of hot picks.
Farming and production
There are fewer entry-level production roles this month, but opportunities remain steady for experienced horticulturists.

Cannabiz Media seeks a California sales rep. This is a telecommuting position available to applicants anywhere in Canada.
Corporate and tech roles
Although the bulk of this month’s corporate roles require experience and credentials, entry-level positions are still to be found.
Compass Cannabis is seeking a logistics coordinator in Calgary, and in the same city, Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis seeks an entry-level applicant for the role of inspector-1. Meanwhile in Edmonton, Metro Green seeks a production supervisor.
